Starting
When you open a door to enter Model Y, the touchscreen powers on and you can
operate all controls. To drive Model Y:
Press the brake pedal - Model Y powers on and is ready to drive.
Select a drive mode - move the drive stalk down for Drive or up for
Reverse.
NOTE: If the PIN to Drive feature
Visual and Audio Feedback
When you shift to Reverse, the Park Assist view displays
on the left side of the instrument panel, showing objects
that are in close proximity to the front and rear of
Model Y. This view closes when you shift into Drive
unless an object is detected close to the front of
Model Y, in which case t
